NaNoWriMo All Over Again

I wasn’t planning on participating this year, but last night I was doing an idea exercise and had this great idea that I decided might be fun to do for NaNo. So this morning I wrote the prologue and so I’m 500 words in.

I would be worried that I’m still about 8,000 words behind, but I finished NaNo in 10 days back in 2010. What I am worried about is that I have a full-time job now and I had all these plans but I haven’t had a chance to do any of them because I’ve just been so busy. In 2010 I was able to write 5,000+ words every day because I had the time. Today I was almost late to work because I wrote 500 words.

Either I’m going to have to get up earlier in the morning or stay up later. It’ll be worth it.

The Parker Project

So, I did kind of a jerk move today, but I’m actually not feeling bad about it. And I might continue with it if Mom doesn’t get too mad.

I call it the Parker Project.

Today I was trying to tell him to lighten up because he’s being really grumpy and just plain out rude, even though I’m totally being the nicest I’ve ever been in my life. He says what he always say, “I’m sorry, but I can’t.” Which is total bull. Because you can do anything, and being positive when you don’t want to be is probably one of the hardest things to do, but it’s possible.

I know because I’ve been doing it for the past month. And sometimes I fail, but I just remember that life is always better when I’m happy.

So, I’m trying to tell Parker this, but he says that he can’t be happy or positive and that he’s not negative every day.

Yeah, he actually is. And it’s really starting to get on my nerves. If I could move out, I would have done it a long time ago just to get away from the horrible energy he projects everyday.

Since Parker never listens to me no matter how nice I’m being or how loud I’m yelling, I’ve decided to try something different. Every time Parker’s being really negative or being a jerk, I’m going to record it. And then I’m going to put it in my folder on my computer titled “The Parker Project” and leave it there until I have so much footage, it’s ridiculous. And then I’m going to make a video out of it and show it to him.

He’ll probably not even watch it. He may even break my camera while doing this. And he might never learn anything from this. But I think if he can see how negative he really is, then maybe, maybe he’ll start listening to everyone who wants to see him happier.

So, he may think I’m being a jerk right now, and I would hate it if someone recorded me being negative all the time, but I think it’s worth a try.

Plus, it might make me more conscious of when I’m being negative as well.

I’ve been kind of silent for a while.

I have a good excuse.

Ok, not really. I just kinda, sorta joined the Legend of Korra fandom and it’s been kind of crazy over there. I actually created another blog just so I could spam reblog Korra posts and whatever the heck else I found hilarious.

Man, I thought I was a part of a fandom before… I don’t even know what is going on with me feelings. I can hardly contain them. I scared Parker pretty bad tonight with the sudden appearance of Asami.

Freaking gorgeous.

So, I’ll probably be gone again until the Legend of Korra is over with because I just have so much to say that I don’t really want to clog this blog with. Because the Legend of Korra is just a TV show (no matter how much I wish it wasn’t) and this blog is for my real life.

If anything remarkable happens, I’ll let you know. Like that I accidentally admitted to Skyler that I have a crush on him a week ago and very confusing things have happened since then.

Have I mentioned how much I hate shopping for cars?

And since I have less than $2,000 to work with, it’s even worse!

I just want a good car that I can rely on for another 5 years at least. But when the only decent cars being sold at less than $2,000 are freaking 20 years old and have 250K miles on them already, I don’t have a whole lot of choices!

I need a car soon, though. And my mom is getting more and more anxious for me to get one, also. It doesn’t help that my friends keep breaking things in her car!

I was seriously worried about this, you guys. Because then I would have to hope that they put it on demand, or illegally stream a crappy version of it a week later, or wait until it comes out on DVD or something.

But I don’t have to because I won’t be working! Yay!

I’ve already seen the first two episodes like 20 times, but I want to be there when it’s officially released. I was like 3 years late when it came to The Last Airbender, so I’m pretty excited to be here when all of this exciting stuff is happening.

Especially when you’re not going through a dealer and have to rely on the integrity of other people.

Plus, I really don’t want to see most of my money go!

I called like 7 people today about the cars they had posted online and only 3 answered. Two of those three I decided that I didn’t like the cars, and the third one I was feeling really good about, but then he kept saying that he was too busy working and then just stopped answering my calls altogether.

Hopefully I will have a car tomorrow!

And I always have been.

I’m talking about monetary things, by the way. I don’t think I’ve saved anyone’s cat or life or anything important like that.

I was thinking about this because I save quite a lot of money each month and have a really hard time spending it on things. And then I went on an old Facebook game that I used to play and I looked at how many coins I had. I had substantially more than my mom ever has and she played it 10 times more than I did. Also, she still plays it.

That got me to thinking about all the other Facebook games I used to play. And it’s all the same. I save up on the coins or whatever until I have so much that I don’t know what to do with myself.

Unfortunately, in real life, if I continue to save as much as I save each month and not spend a single cent of it (which is impossible), it will take me 44 years to get to $1,000,000. And I’m going to need a lot more than $1,000,000 to live comfortable when I retire.

I am going to take a test in approximately 4 minutes.

And I’m probably going to fail because I’m the kind of person that never studies.

I’m also one of those people that doesn’t study and then takes a test and get 90%, but those are usually multiple choice tests.

This test is not multiple choice and it’s finance, which is boring, so I’m half-asleep during the lectures.

Good news is that I’m also the kind of person who doesn’t take notes, but I have been, so hopefully whatever I wrote down for my notes will have stuck in my head.
